Gregory D. Callihan was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 29, 1967. He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Biology and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where he was selected for the Moot Court Board, Robert Lee Tullis Semifinalist, Chancellor List, and Flory Trial finalist. Following graduation, he served as law clerk to the Honorable J. Michael McDonald, currently on the Louisiana Court of Appeals First Circuit. Greg’s primary areas of practice include both residential and commercial real estate closings, succession law, construction law, and business law. Greg is also the sole member of the Callihan Law Firm, L.L.C., which maintains a general litigation practice. His clients have included insurance companies and self-insured employers whom he has had the opportunity to represent in claims pending in district and workers’ compensation courts throughout the state. He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state and workers’ compensation courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Greg is a member (and a former member of the Board of Directors) of the Central Chamber of Commerce, Zachary Chamber of Commerce, Baton Rouge Independent Title Attorney Association, Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors, American Land Title Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, and Defense Research Institute.
